Damn, another of the greats passes away. Just read this on Daily Mail: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8900201/James-Bond-actor-Sir-Sean-Connery-dies-aged-90.html . We all gotta go sometime. He did make an impact on a lot of folks, though.

When I was in high school I got dragged to that movie by a friend who really wanted to see it. I was profoundly disinterested to say the least. I’m glad he made me go, that movie was fantastic.

I remember watching it on HBO when I was a kid. I was too young to understand everything that was happening, but I was still captivated. It's one of my all-time favorites.

A goddam treasure. It’s hard to lose somebody who has been around your entire life.  Probably his best move is one that few have heard of. It’s titled The Hill . Connery plays a soldier who has been sent to a British prison in North Africa during WWII for insubordination (or something) and has to tolerate the horribly sadistic treatment of the guards. Great film, powerful performance.
